When Gigi informs her three friends that she is at the clinic, they all decide to meet up at her place and divulge in deep secrets and moments. They share in laughter, conflicts, love, jealousy and friendship that make their lives truly a midlife crisis.
MIDLIFE CRISIS is a fictional feature film based on the lives of 4 women in their midlife and their daily pressures to conform to society and to pursue their dreams and fantasies. You haven’t seen anything yet.
STRANGE VOICES is; A one woman play starring the legendary performer Dr Zippy Okoth based on true accounts of her passionate love story to a military man that turned sour. Part Two looks at the journey and stigma during and after divorce. Don’t worry if you missed Part One, we got you covered.
STRANGE VOICES looks at the social pressures to go back to the abusive marriage. The stigma that faces divorced persons, ridicule from family and friends and the psychological war on what is socially acceptable and what’s right for the abused. The play looks at the struggles through the separation, attempts to reconcile and the place of the child in the marriage.
It looks at all the voices, the challenges, the new pressures and freedoms. The search for oneself, for God, for solace and the emptiness and loneliness that comes with divorce.
Divorce is death.
Marriage is life.
